Reno KC has drawn majors in salukis for the last 4 years - 5 point majors in the classes the last 2 years. We have entries from the SF/Bay Area/No. Cal saluki fancy as well as locals and a few travelers from So Cal and Las Vegas. There are 3 Motel 6s in the immediate area as well as other moderate to mid range motels that accept well behaved dogs. There are many dining options ranging from fast food to fine dining. Some restaurants have outdoor patio dining areas that are dog-friendly.The Reno Livestock Events Center venue is a large, airy, air-conditioned indoor facility with hard packed dirt floors and large, spacious rings. Vending is on the 2nd floor, overlooking the arena. The venue is in line of sight from the Wells exit off of interstate 80. There is plentiful free parking on site.RKC offers a $500 scholarship to the Best Junior Handler on both conformation days, as well as a workshop targeted at Juniors that is free for them to attend.
Reno KC is also offering a Best Veteran Competition at the Saturday show - so bring out your lovely veterans not only to support our Sweeps judge on Friday, but to show off your veterans in the all-breed competition on this day! Spayed/Neutered Veterans are eligible for this competition.
We will be having a no-host dinner on Friday evening after the specialty at the Great Basin Brewing Company on Victorian in Sparks @ 7pm. They have an outdoor dining patio area that is dog friendly. There is also a multi-story concrete parking garage 1/2 block away, so there is a cool and shaded area to park that is also dog-safe.
Show Supt for Reno Kennel Club is MBF.
SCOA will be self-superintending the Independent Specialty.

This year in Sweepstakes, we are offering Puppy, Veteran, and Dual-Titled Sweepstakes. Please read the premium carefully for the guidelines pertaining to these classes.
The Reno Livestock Events Center will remain open to exhibitors until 10pm on Friday and Saturday evening. You may leave your dogs kenneled in that climate controlled area until that time. Reno KC has hired security staff to cover close of event until open of the building the following morning.
We will be holding a Silent Auction at this event. If you have items to donate, please get them to Sharon by 10am the morning of the show. We already have a couple of very nice large donations - but all donations are welcome and will help defray the costs of this event.
Confirmations and judging schedules will be emailed if an email address has been included in the entry information. Reducing the overhead cost of printing/postage helps us to keep entry costs down.
